Why convert PNG to JPG?
JPG files are typically much smaller than PNG files, making them ideal for photographs and images where some quality loss is acceptable. JPG is also the most widely supported image format across all platforms and devices.
Note on transparent images
PNG images with transparent backgrounds will have those transparent areas filled with white when converting to JPG format, since JPG does not support transparency.
